Enhancing
Enhancing your weapon for more crit, attack speed, or maybe just attack? You came to the right place before doing so. Enhancing weapons/armor/shields can increase and improve stats. To enhance, you go to Colhen and walk right into The Forge. Right-clicking the item you want to enhance will show you what quality and quantity of enhancement stones or elixirs you need. Weapons that are over +8 have a chance of breaking and you will have to restore them at The Inn by talking to The Strange Traveler. To prevent breaking, you will need Enhancement Runes. They can either be gifted in-game from an event or they can be bought at the supply depot. You can only use runes up to +10 then you are on your own to +15.
0-3 - 100% Success Rate
3-5- 75% Success Rate
5-8 50% Success Rate
8-12 40% Success Rate
12-15 33% Success Rate
Superstitions
1) Being one of the first to enhance after maintenance will increase the odds of success.
2) Enhancing after midnight.
3) Not enhancing for 2+ weeks after your last enhance.
4) Going in The Forge to enhance with enough empowered, enhancement elixirs, and money to enhance as much as possible, and if it is destroyed to restore it right then and there and go back in to enhance only IF you've had great luck in enhancing the first time.
5) Clicking the enhance button as fast as you can when you first get in.
6) Logging into the game and (with your materials for crafting already ready) getting a "Welcome to the Forge." or "Come on in." increasing your odds.
7) (Refers back to #6) Do NOT go in/out of forge just to get Ferghus to say "Welcome to the Forge" or "Come on in." It will not increase your odds.
8) It's said that for each player, there are times throughout the day that Ferghus has a higher success rate.
9) Saying you will enhance to another player will decrease your odds. Just go in and do it!
10) Nexon wants to keep their players, so the system will detect the last time you've enhanced and if you're on the brink of quitting. Just going in and enhancing the day after your succeeded, may be a high risk of failure.
Adding all these 10 tips together may get you where you want in the game. Be advised, these are only tips throughout the time I've noticed that worked for me and quite a few others. Just because you follow all these tips doesn't mean you will have a 100% success rate.
